what paint color looks good with candles?

i got a lilac color room with pink carpet. i wanne redo it but i cnt remove the carpet so i was wondering if light or dark pink make candles stand out cause i got alot of them and burn them more then i use light itself. also what color would complinent pink? can i get red curtains or no?
