trying to see how long before I need to turn my wall heater on this season. So, can candle burning actually make a noticeable difference?

You obviously don’t live where I live. We;ve had the heater on for about a month now…

Now to your question: it will depend on how what the temperature in your room, how big it is, how insulated it is and how many candles. Car emergency kits include emergency candles for light and heat, and speaking from experience, I know that 2 or 3 candles can significantly increase the temperature of a snow fort, so it can work. You may need several candles (3 or more) to keep a small room heated, as long as there is no draft. Just make sure you are safe with them!

you can go all winter without turning on your heater if you want to spend more than what you would on the heater!! you can use hurricane lanterns,, coleman style camp lanterns,, all kinds of goofy stuff but you still have to buy the heat,, i.e. candles!! so make sure you keep track of the cost of all those candles to see if it was worth it!! and let me know how many days you went around bare bottomed!! not too many????
